This summer I was so lucky to have found gorgeous Number 8 Turquoise at a small rock show. I gathered up as much as my pocketbook allowed and I have been joyfully cutting, shaping and polishing it!
The Number 8 Turquoise is named after the mine it is from. The mine closed back in the '60's and the collectors have been coveting it ever since.
Here is one of the many pieces of Number 8 Turquoise I've cut and set in Sterling Silver. The hearts just burst on the back! All Handmade in my studio by my hands. Now available in My Shop and ready to ship out!

I have also finished some more of the gorgeous, deep rich green Big Sur Jade earrings. This stone is found on the south coast of Big Sur in places only locals know. I've cut this stone thin, and then sanded it even thinner, shaped and polished each earring. The end result is translucent adventurous patterns of dancing green swirls. I love these earrings and have been wanting a pair myself! By learning more in the lapidary world, I am now able to make them! I really enjoy creating these earrings! These pairs, plus more are now available in My Shop.
