Here I am on the second week of summer (according to the kid's school) and I feel like the end of the school year swirls are finally gone. Last week was the "settle into summer" week to get my bearings. Now, this week, feels more like life. We can plan, we can work, we can be lazy. And change up the order too! LOL!
This summer I only have one child at home and she's picked up a volunteer job for the summer. My oldest made it to adulthood and is rarely seen now. LOL! So for me, that sounds like more bench time and jewelry making!
This is such a different time with kids at these ages. It's very different than when they were little but even so at the middle ages as well. This is a big time when one kid grows up goes out there in the big world. The family left at home finds an adjustment has happened too. It's the next chapters of our lives.
That's why I am so thankful I have my jewelry work to keep my mind sane. Something to do, to distract from the ramblings of the mind. Something to be successful at. To find a way to complete something. That's a blessing.
I hope you have something to keep your mind sane when life is a bit more challenging. It does really help.
Off to my bench to ponder and make stuff!
