Yesterday was the last class of my Stonesetting 2 class. It was such a great semester this year. Lots of learning and laughs just make for a good time. I will be sad not to have that outlet during the summer for sure! But no fear, I've signed up for the Mechanisms class in the Fall! That's where I'll learn hinges and clasps and other cool things like that! It should be fun too. Each class I've taken in the last 5 years has been a blast. My teacher told me yesterday that I've come really far in the last few years. That means a lot.
So a break from class is good. I get settled back into my studio. No more transporting my favorite tools back and forth to class. Now they are all at my bench ready grab. I do like that. Right now, new ideas are forming as to what direction I'll take this summer. I also just received a new tool that I really really wanted. It's not new, but a hand me down of sorts. I got it for a really great price! It's a graver's block! The photo is of it riding home with me! It used to belong to an an amazing jeweler named Carol Webb out of Santa Cruz. The energy in this tool alone is what spoke to me. Afterwards I learned of the person who loved this tool before me. What a gift!
For now, my kids are almost done with their school and I will settle back into my home studio and play with stones and metal and my new tool (toy)!
My poor shop has been low in the Turquoise department! That means I got distracted by other amazing stones that I had to make silver homes for! LOL! Well, I just added 4 new pieces of Turquoise Jewelry. Two rings and two necklaces! I also made a beautiful necklace using a really cool stone out of Russia called Seraphinite! All of these beauties are now for Sale in my Shop.
I've just added 5 new Necklaces to my Shop! A friend of mine who
does lapidary, had all of these beautiful cabochons in his collection!
I was so happy to make silver homes for all of them!
The gorgeous Lavender stones are called Charoite. If you look close, you'll see the patterns of the colors are all swirly and wild. Each piece is a different pattern of swirls!
There are 4 of these small wonderful Charoite necklaces, along with their own design of hearts on the back. You can see all of these necklaces by clicking Here.

The last necklace to be added is a deep and delicious Montana Agate that I've set in sterling silver with round and flat silver spheres. On the back is some hearts with Love of course! This beautiful necklace is really one of a kind. You can find this on my Shop or by clicking on the photo below.
