I've made more Silver and Brass roll printed cuffs and they are now in my Online Store! Scroll down to see more!
This technique is called "roll printing". After I get the pattern then, I saw out the wave edges on the Silver cuffs and patina them all. The brass is made up of a lot of different metals in it, so the patina focuses on the copper metal found in the brass and darkens it.
The patterns you can achieve are endless! I'm having a good time with this type of style.

This beautiful Blue Turquoise cabochon is hand cut, shaped and polished by me.
I then created a Sterling Silver setting for it to live in. I hand twisted the Sterling wire and melted Fine silver for the sphere, which I then smashed flat.
The original design on the back is sawed out by hand with Love ~
This is truly a one of a kind handmade piece.

I recently came across the old blog I had when I started my metal smithing journey.
Looking back on the past 6 years since I've taken my first class to now is so empowering. Just being reminded of all the new things I've absorbed into my memory bank and what I can create & accomplish with those memories of learned goodness!
I really do love my craft of fabricating and stone-setting, which I try to show in my work.
To have found something such at this, that nourishes my soul is such a blessing.
Here's the old blog with photos, if you're curious about the beginning of
the story of a mom on a journey to become a silver smith.
I’ve had this Chrysocolla Cabochon for about 5 yrs now. Waiting for its turn. I bought it back when I really didn’t know what to do yet- I just loved it. The bird like shape and the colors swirling all over made my eyes dance!
When I picked it up the other week and looked at it I now had more knowledge of my craft in my head to really apply some beauty!
I would like you to meet The Abstract Quail.
The design on the back is drawn by the amazing Brianna!
(I can’t draw so I enlisted her help ;).
Fine Silver Spheres, Sterling Silver heart and Swirls adorn this silver delight.

I just added 15 new earrings, rings and necklaces to my Store! There are a new type of earrings available now- Stone Slab Earrings! I've made these on my lapidary machine at home, with the help of my son (he and a friend found some of the rocks) and my husband, who helped sliced some of the rocks.
The California Fire Agate Pendant is one of the many pieces I've cut the cabochon myself as well as the earrings. Visit my Store to see more photos and descriptions about these items and more!
